Instructions:
Step 1. Park your Volvo 740 in a safe and level location. Engage the parking brake.
Step 2. Use the jack and jack stands to raise the rear of your Volvo 740. Make sure that the jack stands are secure before you get underneath the car.
Step 3. Remove the bolts that hold the rear bumper in place. There should be two bolts on each side of the bumper.
Step 4. Use a pry bar to pry the rear bumper off of the car. Be careful not to damage the paint on your car.
Step 5. Remove the old bumper from the trunk. There may be a few clips or screws that hold the bumper in place.
Step 6. Install the new bumper onto the car. Start by aligning the bumper with the holes in the trunk. Then, insert the bolts and tighten them until they are snug.
Step 7. Lower the car from the jack stands.
Step 8. Admire your new rear bumper!
Tips:
* If your car has a body kit, you may need to remove it in order to remove the rear bumper.
* Take your time when removing and installing the bumper. It is easy to damage the paint on your car if you are not careful.
* If you are not comfortable working on cars, you can always take it to a mechanic to have the bumper replaced.
