Note: You must park your vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine before beginning this process.
1. Open the hood of your Civic STD.
2. Locate the headlight assembly you need to replace.
3. Using the appropriate tool (usually a screwdriver or ratchet), remove the screws holding the headlight assembly in place.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the headlight assembly.
5. Remove the old headlight assembly by carefully pulling it out of the opening in the front bumper.
6. Insert the new headlight assembly into the opening in the front bumper.
7. Connect the electrical connector to the back of the headlight assembly.
8. Secure the headlight assembly with the screws you removed in Step 3.
9. Close the hood of your Civic STD and you're done!
Here are some additional tips that may be helpful:
- If you are changing both headlights, it is a good idea to do one side at a time so that you can refer to the other side for help if needed.
- Be careful not to drop the screws when removing the headlight assembly.
- When disconnecting the electrical connector, be careful not to damage the wires.
- When installing the new headlight assembly, make sure that it is securely seated in the opening before attaching the screws.
