Why does a 1974 super beetle have Porsche emblem?

There is no such thing as a 1974 Super Beetle with a Porsche emblem. The only Porsche-branded Beetles were the 356 and the 914, which were produced from 1948 to 1965 and from 1969 to 1976, respectively.
