1. Park the car and engage the parking brake: Make sure the car is parked in a safe location and the parking brake is engaged to prevent it from rolling.
2. Remove the fog lights if equipped: If your 306 has fog lights, you need to remove them before removing the bumper cover. Depending on the variant of Peugeot 306, there might be two or four fog lights. Locate the torx screws securing the fog lights to the bumper cover and remove them. Carefully disconnect the electrical connectors for the fog lights. Some variants might have fog lights held with pins accessible through the wheel arches.
3. Remove the six plastic rivets at the top and four plastic rivets at the bottom: These plastic rivets hold the bumper cover in place.
4. Loosen the eight bolts that hold the bottom of the bumper to the car's frame: Two of these bolts are located on each side, and four are located in the center.
5. Pry the bumper cover off the car: Once you have removed all the bolts and rivets, you can begin prying the bumper cover off the car. You may need to use a pry bar or other tool to help you do this.
6. Remove the bumper bracket if necessary: If the bumper bracket is damaged, you will need to remove it before installing the new bumper cover.
7. Install the new bumper cover: Place the new bumper cover over the car's frame and start by aligning it at the center. Fasten the side brackets with the bolts you removed earlier. Tighten the bolts. Repeat this step for the bottom brackets.
8. Push it forward and slide it into place: You will hear the four pins engage into place. Then replace the fog light housings and the fog light units if you removed them earlier.
9. Reinstall the fog lights if necessary.
10. Replace the plastic rivets: Use a rivet gun to replace the plastic rivets at the top and bottom.
11. Check the alignment and make sure the bumper cover is securely fastened: Adjust as necessary to ensure that the bumper cover is properly aligned and secured.
Your new bumper cover is now installed.
