Materials and Tools Needed:

- Flat-head screwdriver or trim removal tool

Step 1: Preparation
- Ensure your Jeep is parked on a level surface.
- Turn on the headlights to check their current alignment.
Step 2: Locate the Headlight Adjustment Screws
- Open the hood of your Jeep.
- Locate the adjustment screws for the headlights. There are typically two screws, one for vertical adjustment and one for horizontal adjustment.
Step 3: Vertical Alignment
- Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to adjust the vertical adjustment screw.
- Turn the screw clockwise to raise the headlight beam and counterclockwise to lower it.
- Adjust until the beam is level and centered.
Step 4: Horizontal Alignment
- Use the flat-head screwdriver or trim removal tool to adjust the horizontal adjustment screw.
- Turn the screw clockwise to move the beam to the right and counterclockwise to move it to the left.
- Adjust until the beam is centered with respect to the vehicle's centerline.
Step 5: Measure and Fine-tune
- Stand approximately 25 feet (7.6 meters) in front of the Jeep with the headlights on.
- Use a measuring tape to measure the height of the beam from the ground at a designated distance (e.g., 25 feet).
- Compare the measurements with the manufacturer's recommended specifications for your Jeep model.
- Make small adjustments to the alignment screws if necessary to achieve the desired beam height and cutoff.
Step 6: Double Check
- Double-check the headlights from different angles and distances to ensure they are properly aligned.
- Take your Jeep for a test drive at night to verify that the headlights are illuminating the road effectively and safely.
