1. Open the hood of your Mustang.
2. Locate the thermostat housing on the front of the engine block. It is a cylindrical-shaped component with a hose connected to it.
3. The coolant temperature sensor is located on the side of the thermostat housing. It is a small, cylindrical sensor with a wire connector attached to it.
4. To remove the coolant temperature sensor, simply use a wrench to loosen the wire connector. Then, use a socket wrench to loosen and remove the sensor from the thermostat housing.
5. To install the new coolant temperature sensor, simply screw it into the thermostat housing until it is snug. Then, reconnect the wire connector.
