- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- Socket wrench set
- 10 mm socket
- 8 mm socket
- Flashlight
- New headlights (if needed)
Instructions:
1. Open the hood of your Honda Civic.
2. Locate the two Phillips head screws on the top of each headlight housing. Remove these screws.
3. There are 4 10 mm bolts holding the headlight assembly to the car. Remove the upper two bolts first.
4. Locate the two 8mm bolts at the bottom of the headlight assembly. Remove them.
5. Carefully pull the headlight assembly out of the car, being careful not to drop it.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the headlight assembly.
7. To remove the headlight bulb, turn the bulb counterclockwise until it comes loose.
8. Push the new bulb into place and turn it clockwise until it is secure.
9. Reinstall the electrical connector and headlight assembly.
10. Replace the Phillips head screws and 8 and 10 mm bolts.
11. Repeat steps 2-9 for the other headlight.
