1. Park your Pathfinder and turn off the engine. Be sure the parking brake is engaged.
2. Identify the license plate light housing. It is located on the back of the vehicle, below the license plate. The Pathfinder has two license plate lights, one on each side.
3. Remove the old license plate light bulb. Using a small screwdriver or your fingers, carefully pry the old light bulb out of its socket. Be careful not to drop the bulb.
4. Inspect the old light bulb. If the bulb is burned out, you will need to replace it. If the bulb is still good, you can reinstall it.
5. If you need to replace the bulb, insert the new bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise until it is snug.
6. Replace the license plate light housing. Snap the housing back into place.
7. Test the license plate light. Turn on the headlights and make sure the license plate light is working.
Here are some additional tips for changing the license plate light on a Nissan Pathfinder:
* If you are having trouble removing the old light bulb, you may need to use a needle-nose pliers.
* When inserting the new light bulb, be careful not to touch the glass bulb with your fingers. This can cause the light bulb to overheat and burn out quickly.
* If you are changing the license plate light on a newer model Pathfinder, you may need to remove the trim panel around the license plate light housing. To do this, simply pry the trim panel off with a small screwdriver or your fingers.
* If you have any questions or concerns about changing the license plate light on your Nissan Pathfinder, please consult your owner's manual or a qualified mechanic.
