Open the hood of your Ridgeline.
Locate the headlight adjustment screws. On the 2008 Ridgeline, there are two screws per headlight, located on the back of the headlight housing.
Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to turn the adjustment screws. There is a screw for vertical adjustment and a screw for horizontal adjustment. Turn the screws clockwise to raise the beam and counterclockwise to lower the beam.
Adjust the headlights until they are aimed correctly.
- Park the Ridgeline about 25 feet (7.6 m) away from a wall.
- Turn on your headlights and mark the center of each beam on the wall with a piece of tape.
- Adjust the headlights until the beams are aligned with the marks on the wall.
- Verify the headlight alignment by taking a test drive.
Make sure that the headlights are adjusted correctly. The beams should be aimed so that they provide adequate illumination without blinding oncoming drivers. If you are unsure about how to adjust your headlights, you can always have a professional mechanic do it for you.
