• Turn off the headlights.
• Open the hood of the vehicle.
• Locate the headlight adjustment screws on the top of the headlight housing.
• Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to turn the screws clockwise to raise the aiming height, or counterclockwise to lower it.
• Repeat this process for the other headlight.
• Adjust the headlights until the cutoff line is aligned with the center of the headlight, as specified in the owner’s manual.
• Close the hood and test the headlights to make sure they are properly aimed.
Tips:
• If you are unable to adjust the headlights yourself, you can take the vehicle to a qualified mechanic for assistance.
• Some Jeep Liberties may have automatic headlight leveling, which eliminates the need for manual adjustment.
• Never adjust the headlights with the engine running, as this could damage the electrical system.
