1. Park your car on level ground and turn off the engine. Allow the car to cool down if it has been running.
2. Open the hood of your car.
3. Locate the brake fluid reservoir. It is usually a clear plastic container with a black cap located near the top of the engine compartment.
4. Remove the cap from the brake fluid reservoir.
5. Check the level of the brake fluid. The fluid should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the side of the reservoir.
6. If the brake fluid level is low, add enough brake fluid to bring it up to the "MAX" mark. Use only DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid.
7. Replace the cap on the brake fluid reservoir.
8. Close the hood of your car.
9. Test the brakes to make sure that they are working properly.
