The speedometer sensor is located on the back of the transmission, near the top. It is a small, cylindrical-shaped sensor with a single electrical connector.
To access the speedometer sensor, you will need:
* A jack and jack stands
* A set of wrenches
* A screwdriver
Instructions:
1. Park your vehicle on a level surface.
2. Engage the parking brake.
3. Raise the vehicle with the jack and secure it with the jack stands.
4. Locate the speedometer sensor on the back of the transmission.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the speedometer sensor.
6. Use a wrench to loosen the mounting bolt for the speedometer sensor.
7. Remove the speedometer sensor from the transmission.
Installation:
1. Insert the new speedometer sensor into the transmission.
2. Tighten the mounting bolt for the speedometer sensor.
3. Reconnect the electrical connector to the speedometer sensor.
4. Lower the vehicle off the jack stands.
5. Test the speedometer to make sure it is working properly.
Tips:
* If you are unable to access the speedometer sensor from underneath the vehicle, you may be able to reach it from the engine bay.
* Be careful not to drop the speedometer sensor when removing or installing it.
* If the speedometer sensor is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
