1. Open the hood of the car.
2. Locate the dipstick, usually labeled with “Engine Oil” or “Ölstand,” at the rear of the engine compartment, near the firewall.
3. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean using a rag or tissue.
4. Insert the dipstick back into the tube and make sure it is fully seated.
5. Pull out the dipstick again and inspect the oil level.
- The oil should be between the two marks etched onto the dipstick.
- If the oil level is low, add enough engine oil to bring it up to the correct level.
6. Reinsert the dipstick into its tube and close the hood of the car.
