1. Your driver's license or state ID card.
2. The vehicle registration number or VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).
3. Proof of ownership, such as a bill of sale or previous title.
4. A completed application for a duplicate title.
5. Payment of the required fees.
Some states may also require additional documents or information, such as a police report if the vehicle was stolen. Once you have submitted all the required documents and paid the fees, the DMV will process your request and issue you a duplicate title.
