1. Unlock the trunk using the key or the interior trunk release button.
2. If the trunk doesn't open, check to see if there's anything obstructing the latch mechanism.
3. Try gently tapping the trunk lid with your hand to see if it might budge loose.
4. Spray some lubricant on the latch mechanism to help loosen up any rust or debris.
5. Try using a screwdriver or another thin tool to gently pry the latch open.
6. You can use a key to manually unlock the trunk. Insert the key into the trunk lock and turn it clockwise to unlock the trunk.
7. If the trunk still won't open, you may need to remove the rear seats to access the trunk release mechanism. To do this, follow these steps:
- Remove the bolts holding the rear seat in place.
- Lift the rear seat out of the car.
- Locate the trunk release mechanism, which is usually a lever or button located near the latch mechanism.
- Pull or press the trunk release mechanism to open the trunk.
If none of these methods work, you may need to take your car to a mechanic or locksmith to have the trunk opened.
