- Open the sunroof all the way.
- Locate the two plastic plugs on the front edge of the sunroof opening, next to the weatherstripping.
- Use a flat-head screwdriver or trim removal tool to pry up the plugs.
- Remove the two 8mm bolts located beneath the plugs.
- Gently lift the front edge of the sunroof panel until you can access the sunroof motor.
2) Rear Sunroof Motor:
- Open the rear sunroof all the way.
- Flip up the small storage cubby near the rear windshield.
- Pull down on the rear sunshade to expose the two plastic plugs on the left and right side of the sunroof opening.
- Remove the two plastic plugs.
- Use a flat-head screwdriver or trim removal tool to pry up the plastic covers behind the plugs.
- Remove the four 10mm bolts located behind the plastic covers.
- Remove the 8mm nut located in the center of the sunroof motor.
- Gently lift the rear sunroof panel until you can access the sunroof motor.
