1. Park the vehicle on a level surface.
2. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
3. Jack up the front of the vehicle and secure it with jack stands.
4. Locate the oil filter housing. It is a black cylindrical-shaped object located near the top of the engine, on the driver's side.
5. Remove the oil filter cover by turning it counterclockwise.
6. Remove the old oil filter by turning it counterclockwise.
7. Apply a thin coat of new engine oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
8. Screw the new oil filter into the oil filter housing until it is snug.
9. Replace the oil filter cover and turn it clockwise until it is snug.
10. Lower the vehicle and dispose of the old oil filter properly.
