Instructions
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Drain the coolant.
3. Remove the oil filter.
4. Remove the accessory belt.
5. Remove the camshaft covers.
6. Use the camshaft locking tool to lock the camshafts in place.
7. Use the crankshaft locking tool to lock the crankshaft in place.
8. Loosen the tensioner pulley bolt and remove the tensioner pulley.
9. Remove the idler pulley.
10. Remove the old cam belt.
11. Install the new cam belt.
12. Install the new tensioner pulley and tighten the bolt to the specified torque.
13. Install the new idler pulley.
14. Remove the camshaft locking tool and crankshaft locking tool.
15. Check the timing belt tension using a feeler gauge. The tension should be between 0.5 and 0.7 mm (0.020 and 0.028 inches).
16. If necessary, adjust the tensioner pulley to achieve the correct tension.
17. Reinstall the camshaft covers.
18. Refill the coolant.
19. Reinstall the oil filter.
20. Reinstall the accessory belt.
21. Reconnect the battery.
Tips
* Make sure that the camshafts and crankshaft are locked in place before removing the old cam belt.
* Check the timing belt tension carefully to ensure that it is correct.
