1. Locate the two seat lock knobs. They are located on the rear cowl, near the seat hinge.
2. Turn the seat lock knobs counterclockwise until they are loose.
3. Lift up the rear cowl.
4. Disconnect the seat sensor connector, if your bike has one. It's located under the seat, on the left side.
5. Lift the seat off the bike.
To reinstall the seat, simply reverse the steps above.
