How do I put a transmission drive belt on Murray mower?

1. Park the lawnmower on a flat, level surface.

2. Engage the parking brake.

3. Turn the engine off and allow it to cool down completely.

4. Remove the ignition key.

5. Disconnect the spark plug wire.

6. Remove the engine shroud or cover.

7. Locate the transmission drive belt.

8. If the old drive belt is still in place, remove it by carefully pulling it off of the pulleys.

9. Inspect the pulleys for wear or damage.

10. Slide the new transmission drive belt onto the pulleys, starting with the lower pulley and working your way up to the upper pulley.

11. Make sure that the belt is properly seated in the grooves on the pulleys.

12. Reattach the engine shroud or cover.

13. Connect the spark plug wire.

14. Insert the ignition key and start the lawnmower.

15. Check for proper belt tension. The drive belt should be loose enough to allow for some play, but not so loose that it slips.

16. If necessary, adjust the tension of the belt using the tensioner pulley.
