How do you adjust the clutch in a 1999 Kawasaki nomad?

To adjust the clutch in a 1999 Kawasaki Nomad, follow these steps:

1. Park the motorcycle on level ground and turn off the engine.

2. Remove the right side cover by removing the four bolts that hold it in place.

3. Locate the clutch adjustment mechanism on the right side of the engine, just above the transmission.

4. There are two nuts on the clutch adjustment mechanism. The upper nut is the locknut, and the lower nut is the adjusting nut.

5. Slightly loosen the locknut with a wrench.

6. Turn the adjusting nut clockwise until you feel a slight resistance. This is the point at which the clutch starts to engage.

7. Tighten the locknut to hold the adjusting nut in place.

8. Reinstall the right side cover.

Test the clutch adjustment by riding the motorcycle and shifting gears. The clutch should engage smoothly without slipping. If it is slipping, repeat steps 4-7 to tighten the clutch a bit more.

The clutch adjustment is now complete.
