How do you change a belt for Murray snowblower?

Step 1: Disconnect the spark plug wire.

* This will prevent the snowblower from starting accidentally while you are working on it.

Step 2: Remove the belt guard.

* The belt guard is usually held in place by a few bolts. Remove these bolts and then lift the belt guard off of the snowblower.

Step 3: Remove the old belt.

* The old belt is usually wrapped around the engine pulley and the auger pulley. Use a wrench to loosen the bolts that hold the engine pulley in place. Then, remove the belt from the engine pulley and the auger pulley.

Step 4: Install the new belt.

* Wrap the new belt around the engine pulley and the auger pulley. Make sure that the belt is properly seated in the grooves on the pulleys. Then, tighten the bolts that hold the engine pulley in place.

Step 5: Reinstall the belt guard.

* Replace the belt guard and secure it in place with the bolts that you removed earlier.

Step 6: Reconnect the spark plug wire.

* This will allow you to start the snowblower again.
