Locate the chain adjustment bolts. There are two chain adjustment bolts, one on each side of the swingarm.
Loosen the locknuts on the chain adjustment bolts.
Turn the chain adjustment bolts clockwise to tighten the chain.
Tighten the locknuts on the chain adjustment bolts.
Check the chain tension. The chain should have about 1/2 inch of play up and down between the sprockets. If the chain is too tight, it can put unnecessary stress on the transmission and driveline. If the chain is too loose, it can skip teeth on the sprockets, which can damage the chain and sprockets.
Repeat steps 2-5 if necessary to achieve the correct chain tension.
