2. Locate the speed sensor. It is usually mounted on the front wheel hub, near the brake rotor.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector attached to the speed sensor.
4. Loosen and remove the mounting bolts/screws holding the speed sensor in place.
5. Remove the old speed sensor from the wheel hub.
6. Inspect the mounting location for any visible damage or wear. Clean the area as needed.
7. Apply a small amount of thread locker (if desired) to the threads of the new speed sensor.
8. Place the new speed sensor in position and loosely secure it with the mounting bolts/screws.
9. Ensure the speed sensor's tip does not rub against any moving parts.
10. Tighten the mounting bolts/screws securely.
11. Reconnect the electrical connector to the speed sensor.
12. Test the speed sensor by starting the motorcycle and confirming the speedometer is functioning correctly.
