1. Park the Quadrunner on level ground and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the chain adjuster bolts. There are two bolts, one on each side of the rear axle.
3. Loosen the chain adjuster locknuts with a wrench.
4. Turn the chain adjuster bolts clockwise to tighten the chain.
5. Tighten the chain until there is about 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) of play between the chain and the rear sprocket.
6. Retighten the chain adjuster locknuts.
7. Check the chain tension again and make sure it is correct.
8. Start the Quadrunner and test the chain tension. The chain should not skip or jump when you accelerate or decelerate.
