1. Warm the engine up before changing the oil. This will help the oil flow more easily.
2. Place a drain pan under the oil drain bolt.
3. Remove the oil drain bolt and let the oil drain completely.
4. Replace the oil drain bolt and washer.
5. Remove the oil filter using a filter wrench.
6. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
7. Screw the new oil filter onto until snug. Do not overtighten.
8. Fill the engine with the recommended amount of new oil.
9. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
10. Check the oil level and add more oil if necessary.
