How do you remove a gas tank from Honda CT70 trail minibike?

To remove the gas tank from a Honda CT70 Trail minibike, you will need the following tools:

- Phillips head screwdriver

- Flathead screwdriver

- 8mm socket and wrench

Step 1: Disconnect the fuel line.

Use a flathead screwdriver to pry open the fuel line clamp. Then, pull the fuel line off of the fuel petcock.

Step 2: Remove the seat.

Use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen the seat bolt, and then remove the seat.

Step 3: Disconnect the electrical connector.

Locate the electrical connector under the left side of the fuel tank and detach the connector.

Step 4: Remove the fuel tank bolts.

Use an 8mm socket and wrench to remove the two fuel tank bolts on the front and rear of the tank.

Step 5: Remove the fuel tank.

Lift the fuel tank up and off of the bike.

Step 6: Clean and inspect the fuel tank.

Clean the inside and outside of the fuel tank with a degreaser and a soft cloth. Inspect the fuel tank for any leaks or damage.

Step 7: Reinstall the fuel tank.

Place the fuel tank back onto the bike, making sure that the fuel petcock is aligned with the fuel line. Start but don't tighten the front fuel tank bolt just yet.

Step 8: Reconnect the electrical connector.

Reconnect the electrical connector under the left side of the tank.

Step 9: Tighten the fuel tank bolts.

Use the 8mm wrench to tighten both fuel tank bolts.

Step 10: Reconnect the fuel line.

Insert the fuel line onto the fuel petcock, and then secure it with the fuel line clamp.

Step 11: Install the seat.

Place the seat on the bike, and then tighten the seat bolt with a Phillips head screwdriver.

Step 12: Test the fuel tank.

Turn on the fuel petcock and check for any leaks. If there are no leaks, you can start the engine and test the bike.
