A windshield wiper fluid reservoir is a container for a windshield washer fluid, an irrigation system component that sprays water or a soapy liquid to clean the glass surface. Since it is low in natural minerals and salts, this type of fluid can be stored easily within a car’s reservoir tank for future use.
It is typically made out of a plastic material and has a warning light placed on the car’s dashboard to warn the driver when it is empty. As it is the most reason why your windshield wiper fluid not coming out.
The first step is to check if there’s fluid in the reservoir. If there is, the problem lays somewhere else.
If no fluid is in the reservoir, you can try to fill the system with new fluid. You can buy it at any gas station and most stores. If it works, well and good; if not, fix your wiper system as soon as possible. This would mean that you cannot clean the glass with the wipers until you get your wiper system fixed.
Check the reservoir for any cracks, leaks, or damage on it. If there are no problems with the reservoir, it is time to check other system parts.
If your windshield wiper fluid still isn’t coming out, even after you have removed any obstructions and checked that the windshield washer pump is in good working order, it might be due to a clogged windshield washer nozzle.
