1. Park the Car Safely: Park your vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake. Make sure the engine is off and cool.
2. Open the Hood: Pop open the hood of the car to access the engine compartment.
3. Locate the Wing bolts: Locate the bolts holding the front wing to the vehicle's inner structure and fender liner. These bolts are usually located along the top of the wing, inside the engine bay, and around the wheel arch area.
4. Remove the Bolts: Using a wrench or socket set, loosen and remove these bolts. Be careful not to drop the nuts or bolts into the engine bay.
5. Remove the Plastic Clips: There may be some plastic clips that secure the front wing to the fender liner. Carefully pry open the clips with a flat-head screwdriver or a trim removal tool.
6. Disconnect Electrical Connections: Check for any electrical connections or wiring connected to the front wing. Disconnect these connections to avoid any damage.
7. Unscrew the Side Marker Light: Remove the side marker light by unscrewing it from the wing.
8. Remove the Wing: With all the bolts, clips, and connections removed, you can carefully lift the front wing off the vehicle. Be careful as the wing can be relatively heavy and awkward to handle.
9. Install the New Wing: Position the new wing onto the vehicle, making sure it lines up correctly with the other components. Secure the new wing by inserting the bolts into their respective holes.
10. Tighten the Bolts: Tighten the bolts that secure the wing to the vehicle's inner structure and fender liner. Make sure not to over-tighten the bolts.
11. Reconnect the Electrical Connections: Reconnect any electrical connections or wiring that you disconnected earlier.
12. Screw in the Side Marker Light: Reattach the side marker light by screwing it back into place.
13. Repeat for the Opposite Side (if Necessary): If replacing both front wings, repeat steps 3 to 12 on the opposite side of the vehicle.
14. Double-Check Everything: Carefully check that all bolts, screws, and clips are securely tightened before closing the hood and driving the vehicle.
Remember that replacing a front wing can be quite involved, and it's always a good idea to refer to the vehicle's service manual or consult a professional if you are unsure about any of the steps.
