How do you replace a front brake rotor on 1994 Ford Explorer?

Replacing a front brake rotor on a 1994 Ford Explorer is relatively easy. Here are the steps involved:

1. Gather the necessary tools and parts. You will need:

- New brake rotors (2)

- Brake pads (4)

- Caliper bolts (2)

- Caliper bracket (1)

- 1/2 inch wrench

- 3/8 inch wrench

- Phillips head screwdriver

- Flathead screwdriver

- Hammer

2. Park your Explorer on a level surface and apply the parking brake.

3. Loosen the lug nuts on the wheels of the front axle but don't remove them just yet.

4. Use a jack and jack stands to raise the front of the Explorer and then remove the wheels.

5. Remove the caliper bolts and then the caliper bracket.

6. Remove the old brake pads from the caliper bracket and clean the bracket thoroughly with a wire brush.

7. Apply a thin layer of brake grease to the new brake pads.

8. Install the new brake pads in the caliper bracket and reinstall the caliper bracket with new caliper bolts.

9. Install the new brake rotor on the hub and then reinstall the wheel.

10. Lower the Explorer using the jack stands.

11. Repeat steps 4-10 on the other side of the Explorer.

12. Test the brakes before driving.
