1. Start the engine and let it warm up to operating temperature.
2. Turn the ignition off.
3. Locate the idle adjust screw on the throttle body. It is usually a small screw with a black plastic knob.
4. Turn the idle adjust screw clockwise to increase the idle speed or counterclockwise to decrease the idle speed.
5. Start the engine and check the idle speed. The idle speed should be between 800 and 900 RPM.
6. If necessary, repeat steps 4 and 5 until the idle speed is correct.
7. Once the idle speed is correct, turn the ignition off and reconnect the negative battery cable.
