1. Floor Jack

5. prybar or ball joint separator
6. Penetrating oil
7. Lower Ball Joint Assembly (OEM or aftermarket)
8. Safety glasses
Procedure:
1. Park your car on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Loosen the lug nuts on the front wheel that's on the same side as the lower ball joint you want to replace.
3. Lift the front end of the vehicle with the floor jack and place jack stands under the frame to support the vehicle.
4. Remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel.
5. Locate the lower ball joint. It is usually a ball-shaped joint located at the bottom of the front suspension arm.
6. Spray penetrating oil on the nuts and bolts that secure the ball joint to the suspension arm and steering knuckle.
7. Use a wrench to loosen the nuts and bolts, prybar or ball joint separator to separate the ball joint from the steering knuckle.
8. Remove the old lower ball joint from the suspension arm and steering knuckle.
9. Install the new lower ball joint by inserting it into the suspension arm and steering knuckle.
10. Secure the new lower ball joint with the nuts and bolts you removed earlier.
11. Tighten the lug nuts and lower the vehicle.
12. Test drive the vehicle to ensure that the new lower ball joint is working properly.
