Jack up the car and support it on jack stands.
Remove the lug nuts and wheel from the front wheel you are working on.
Remove the brake caliper by removing the two 13mm bolts that hold it to the steering knuckle.
Support the brake caliper with a piece of wire or cord so it does not hang by the brake hose.
Remove the two 18mm bolts that hold the rotor to the wheel hub.
If the rotor does not come off easily, you may need to tap it with a hammer to break it loose.
Once the rotor is removed, you can inspect it for wear and damage. If it is worn or damaged, it should be replaced.
