Silverado driver side entire power mirror assembly replacement?

Tools and Materials Needed

* Replacement power mirror assembly

* Torx T15 driver

* Phillips head screwdriver

* Flat-head screwdriver

* Pry tool

* Electrical tape

Instructions:

Step 1: Remove the door panel.

1. Open the door and remove the two screws located at the bottom of the door panel with a Torx T15 driver.

2. Remove the two Phillips head screws located at the top of the door panel.

3. Gently pry the door panel up from the bottom using a pry tool, starting at the corner of the door panel.

4. Be careful not to damage the door panel or the door lock mechanism.

5. Disconnect the electrical connectors for the power window and power door lock switches.

6. Set the door panel aside in a safe place.

Step 2: Remove the old power mirror assembly.

1. Locate the three 10mm bolts that secure the power mirror assembly to the door.

2. Remove the bolts using a ratchet and socket wrench.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector for the power mirror.

4. Remove the power mirror assembly from the door.

Step 3: Install the new power mirror assembly.

1. Connect the electrical connector for the power mirror to the new power mirror assembly.

2. Secure the new power mirror assembly to the door using the three 10mm bolts.

3. Tighten the bolts until they are snug.

Step 4: Reinstall the door panel.

1. Connect the electrical connectors for the power window and power door lock switches.

2. Gently pry the door panel up from the bottom using a pry tool, starting at the corner of the door panel.

3. Be careful not to damage the door panel or the door lock mechanism.

4. Secure the door panel using the two screws located at the top of the door panel and the two screws at the bottom of the door panel.

Step 5: Test the power mirror.

1. Turn on the ignition and adjust the power mirror using the power mirror control switch.

2. Make sure that the power mirror moves smoothly and properly.

Step 6: Enjoy your new power mirror!
