1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Fasten the negative battery terminal using the hold down clamp with the 10 mm bolt.
3. Locate and remove the airbag warning light unit from the left side of the instrument panel.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the warning light unit.
5. On the front of the warning light unit you should see a small hole (about the diameter of a straightened out paper clip).
6. With the ignition off, insert a straightened out paper clip or something similar into this hole.
7. Holding the ignition off, push in on the paper clip and move the connector to all the way to the left.
8. Turn on the ignition. The light will begin to flash rapidly. Keep the paper clip and the connector in place until the light goes out.
9. Once the light goes out, turn off the ignition, release the paper clip and the connector, reconnect the two halves of the warning light unit, reconnect the electrical connectors, and reinstall the warning light unit.
10. Tighten the 10 mm bolt of the hold down clamp to remove the negative battery terminal.
11. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
