Instructions
1. Locate the air filter housing. It is usually located in the engine compartment, near the top of the engine. On the 2008 VW Jetta, the air filter housing is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment, near the firewall.
2. Open the air filter housing. There are two clips that hold the cover in place. Use a screwdriver to release the clips and remove the cover.
3. Remove the old air filter. It is simply sitting inside the housing.
4. Install the new air filter. Make sure that it is seated properly in the housing.
5. Replace the cover and secure it with the clips.
6. That's it! You have successfully replaced the air filter in your 2008 VW Jetta.
Tips
- If you are replacing the air filter in a dusty or dirty environment, it is a good idea to wear gloves to protect your hands.
