There are two screws that hold the ashtray in place. Remove these screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 2: Remove the trim around the radio.
There are four screws that hold the trim around the radio in place. Two screws are located on the top of the trim and two screws are located on the bottom of the trim. Remove the top screws first. Then grab the trim with both hands and pull it towards you to release the bottom clips.
Step 3: Remove the radio.
There are four screws that hold the radio in place. These screws are located on the sides of the radio. Remove the left screws first, then the right ones. Once you have removed the screws, grab the radio with both hands and pull it straight out from the dash. Disconnect the wiring harness and antenna from the back of the radio. Place the radio in a safe location.
Step 4: Pull the tape deck.
Grab the tape deck with both hands and pull it straight up from the dash. Disconnect the wiring harness and antenna from the back of the tape deck.
Step 5: Remove the mounting bracket.
Once you have removed the tape deck, you will see a mounting bracket attached to the dash. Remove the four screws that hold the mounting bracket in place and then remove the bracket.
Step 6: Reinstall the radio.
Install the new radio by inserting it into the dash opening and securing it with the four screws. Connect the wiring harness and antenna to the back of the radio.
Step 7: Reinstall the trim around the radio.
Reinstall the trim around the radio by inserting it into the dash opening and pushing it until it snaps into place.
Step 8: Reinstall the ashtray.
Reinstall the ashtray by aligning the holes and tightening the two screws.
Note: If you are having trouble removing the tape deck, you can use a plastic pry tool or a butter knife to gently pry it out of the dash. Be careful not to damage the dash or any of the wiring.
