- A Peugeot 206
- A key with a transponder chip
- A diagnostic scanner (optional)
- A screwdriver
Step 2: Disconnect the battery:
- Open the hood of the Peugeot 206.
- Locate the negative battery terminal.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal using a screwdriver.
- Wait for at least 30 seconds.
Step 3: Reconnect the battery:
- Reconnect the negative battery terminal to the battery.
- Tighten the battery terminal nut securely.
Step 4: Insert the key into the ignition:
- Insert the key with the transponder chip into the ignition.
- Turn the key to the "ON" position, but do not start the engine.
Step 5: Wait for the immobilizer light to go out:
- The immobilizer light is usually located on the dashboard.
- It may take several seconds for the immobilizer light to go out.
Step 6: Start the engine:
- Once the immobilizer light goes out, turn the key to the "Start" position to start the engine.
- The engine should start normally.
Note: If the engine does not start, you may need to use a diagnostic scanner to reset the immobilizer. Please refer to the Peugeot 206 owner's manual or a qualified mechanic for assistance.
