1. Locate the air filter cover. The air filter cover is located on the left side of the motorcycle, just below the fuel tank. It is a black plastic cover with a single screw holding it in place.
2. Remove the air filter cover. Use a screwdriver to remove the single screw holding the air filter cover in place. Once the screw is removed, you can lift the cover off of the motorcycle.
3. Remove the old air filter. The old air filter is located inside the air filter box. It is a rectangular-shaped piece of foam with a metal frame around it. To remove the old air filter, simply lift it out of the air filter box.
4. Inspect the old air filter. Inspect the old air filter for damage or dirt. If the air filter is damaged or dirty, it will need to be replaced.
5. Install the new air filter. If the old air filter was damaged or dirty, insert the new air filter into the air filter box. Make sure that the new air filter is properly seated in the air filter box.
6. Replace the air filter cover. Replace the air filter cover and secure it with the screw you removed earlier.
