1. Park the 3 wheeler on level ground.
2. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
3. Locate the chain tensioner. This is usually a bolt or screw that is located near the rear of the 3 wheeler, near where the chain meets the sprocket.
4. Use a wrench to loosen the chain tensioner. This may require some force.
5. Adjust the chain tension. The chain should be tight enough so there is no slack, but not so tight that there is no movement.
6. Retighten the chain tensioner.
7. Test the chain tension by rolling the 3 wheeler forward and backward. The chain should not skip or come off.
