2. Place a chock block in front of the front wheel to prevent the bike from rolling. Engage the parking brake.
3. Use a jack or lift to raise the rear of the motorcycle so that the rear wheel is off the ground.
4. Locate the rear axle nut. Loosen the nut but do not remove it completely.
5. Locate the two pinch bolts on the rear brake caliper. Loosen the bolts and slide the caliper out of the way.
6. Use a chain breaker or master link pliers to break the chain. Set the chain aside.
7. Remove the two axle nut covers from the rear axle. Remove the axle nut.
8. Slide the rear wheel off of the axle and out of the swingarm.
9. To install the new tire, reverse the order of the above steps. Be sure to tighten the axle nut to the proper torque specification.
10. Check the tire pressure and make sure that it is at the recommended level.
11. Test the brakes to make sure that they are working properly.
12. Lower the motorcycle and remove the chock block.
