2. Locate the carburetor cup. The carburetor cup is located on the bottom of the carburetor. It is a small, round metal bowl with a drain plug in the center.
3. Remove the drain plug. Use the flat head screwdriver to loosen the drain plug and then remove it by hand.
4. Drain the carburetor cup. Allow all of the gasoline to drain out of the carburetor cup.
5. Inspect the carburetor cup. Look for any signs of damage or wear. If the carburetor cup is cracked or damaged, it will need to be replaced.
6. Clean the carburetor cup. Use the carburetor cleaner to spray the inside of the carburetor cup. Be sure to get all of the dirt and debris out.
7. Replace the drain plug. Use the flat head screwdriver to tighten the drain plug.
8. Reinstall the carburetor cup. Place the carburetor cup back on the carburetor and tighten the screws using the Phillips head screwdriver.
