How do you replace the subwoofer on a 2001 Jaguar XJR?

2001 Jaguar XJR Subwoofer Replacement Guide

Tools Needed:

- 10mm socket

- Ratchet

- Pry bar

- Flat head screwdriver

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the Battery:

- Open the trunk of the Jaguar.

- Locate the battery which will be on the left in the trunk of your Jaguar XJR.

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal using the 10mm socket and ratchet; be careful not to touch the positive battery terminal.

2. Remove the Rear Deck:

- Gently pry up the rear deck using a pry bar, starting from the front and working your way back.

- Unclip the plastic clips that hold the rear deck in place and remove it.

3. Unscrew the Subwoofer Bolts:

- Use a 10mm socket and ratchet to remove the four bolts that secure the subwoofer.

4. Disconnect the Subwoofer Wiring:

- Use the flat head screwdriver to gently pry the subwoofer wiring connector off the subwoofer.

- Disconnect the subwoofer wiring connector by pressing down on the release tab.

5. Remove the Subwoofer:

- Lift the subwoofer out of the vehicle.

6. Install the New Subwoofer:

- Place the new subwoofer in the vehicle and secure it using the four bolts that you removed in step 3.

- Reconnect the subwoofer wiring connector by pressing down on the release tab and plugging it back into the subwoofer.

7. Reinstall the Rear Deck:

- Reinstall the rear deck by snapping the plastic clips back into place.

8. Reconnect the Battery:

- Reconnect the negative battery terminal that you removed in step 1.

9. Test the Subwoofer:

- Turn on the head unit and adjust the volume to check if the subwoofer is working properly.

- If the subwoofer is working properly, close the trunk and enjoy the new sound!
