1. Remove the battery. Disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive terminal. Remove the battery from the vehicle.
2. Remove the air filter housing. This is located on the passenger side of the engine bay.
3. Remove all cables, water pipes and vacuum hoses from the heating unit and drain the remaining water
4. Remove the heater unit. There are four bolts that hold the heater unit in place. Remove these bolts and then carefully remove the heater unit from the vehicle.
5. Replace the heater matrix with the gasket. Be careful not to damage the gasket when installing the new heater matrix.
6. Reinstall the heater unit. Replace the four bolts that hold the heater unit in place and reconnect the cables, hoses, and pipes.
7. Reinstall the air filter housing.
8. Reinstall the battery. First reconnect the positive battery terminal, then the negative terminal.
