To put down the windshield wipers on a Mercedes E 320 follow these steps:

1. Turn off the ignition.

2. Locate the windshield wiper stalk on the left side of the steering column.

3. Push the wiper stalk down to the "Off" position.

4. If equipped with automatic rain sensing wipers, turn off the rain sensor by pushing the button on the end of the wiper stalk.

5. The wipers will return to their resting position.
