How do you reset a vw golf 2004 onboard computer after servicing?

To reset the onboard computer in a 2004 VW Golf after servicing:

1. Turn the ignition key to the "Off" position.

2. Press and hold the "Trip" button on the instrument cluster.

3. Turn the ignition key to the "On" position without starting the engine.

4. Continue holding the "Trip" button for five seconds.

5. The display will show "Service Reset".

6. Press the "Reset" button to reset the service indicator.

7. The display will show "Service Reset Complete".

8. Turn the ignition key to the "Off" position and then back to the "On" position to start the engine.

The service indicator should now be reset.
