Fix rear wheel bearing on vauxhall frontera?

Tools and Materials:

- Jack and jack stands

- Lug wrench

- Socket set

- Flat-head screwdriver

- Pry bar

- Replacement wheel bearing

- Grease

- Sealant

Instructions:

1. Park your Frontera on a level surface and engage the parking brake.

2. Jack up the rear of the vehicle and support it with jack stands.

3. Remove the lug nuts and take off the rear wheel.

4. Use a pry bar to pry off the brake caliper and hang it out of the way with a piece of wire or rope.

5. Remove the two bolts holding the brake rotor to the wheel hub.

6. Pull the brake rotor off of the wheel hub.

7. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry off the dust cover on the wheel bearing.

8. Use a socket to remove the three nuts holding the wheel bearing in place.

9. Pull the wheel bearing off the wheel hub.

10. Clean the wheel hub and bearing surface with a degreaser.

11. Apply a thin coat of grease to the inside of the new wheel bearing.

12. Press the new wheel bearing onto the wheel hub.

13. Replace the three nuts and tighten them in a star pattern.

14. Replace the dust cover.

15. Replace the brake rotor and caliper.

16. Replace the lug nuts and lower the vehicle.
