1. Locate the air filter box
Open the hood of your car and look for the air filter box. It is usually located on the passenger side of the engine compartment.
2. Unfasten the clips holding the air filter box in place
There will be several clips holding the air filter box in place. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the clips open.
3. Remove the air filter cover
Once the clips are unfastened, you can remove the air filter cover by lifting it upwards.
4. Remove the old air filter
Take out the old air filter from inside the air filter box.
5. Clean the air filter box
Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the inside of the air filter box. Be sure to remove any dust or debris that may have accumulated.
6. Install the new air filter
Insert the new air filter into the air filter box. Make sure that the new air filter is seated properly.
7. Replace the air filter cover
Put the air filter cover back on the air filter box. Make sure that the air filter cover is secure.
8. Refasten the clips holding the air filter box in place
Reattach the clips that you removed in step 2, ensuring they are secure.
