- #20 torx bit
- Ratchet or screwdriver
- New blower motor resistor
Step 1: Locating the Blower Motor Resistor
1. Open your car hood and locate the black plastic housing on the driver's side firewall near the brake fluid reservoir.
2. Remove the rubber cover under the housing.
Step 2: Removing the Old Resistor
1. Use a #20 torx bit or a screwdriver to loosen and remove the two screws holding the blower motor resistor in place.
2. Carefully disconnect the electrical connector attached to the blower motor resistor.
Step 3: Installing the New Resistor
1. Connect the electrical connector to the new blower motor resistor.
2. Insert and secure the new blower motor resistor with the same two screws you removed earlier.
Step 4: Finishing Up
1. Reattach the rubber cover.
2. Close the hood of your car.
Now the new blower motor resistor should be installed and functional!
