Instructions
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the air filter housing.
3. Jack up the car and place the jack stands underneath it.
4. Locate the starter, which is on the driver’s side of the engine near the bottom.
5. Disconnect the electrical wires from the starter.
6. Remove the starter bolts.
7. Using a hammer, gently tap the starter until it comes loose.
8. Slide the old starter out.
9. Place the new starter into position.
10. Tighten the starter bolts.
11. Reconnect the electrical wires to the starter.
12. Lower the car from the jack stands.
13. Replace the air filter housing.
14. Reconnect the battery.
Tips
* Make sure that you have disconnected the battery before you begin working on the starter.
* When removing the starter bolts, be careful not to drop them.
* If the starter is stuck, you may need to use a penetrating oil to loosen it up.
* Be sure to properly tighten the starter bolts before you lower the car from the jack stands.
* If you have any questions, refer to a repair manual or consult with a qualified mechanic.
